The Windy City’s Wonders

Chicago, my hometown, is a city of big shoulders, big pizza slices, and even bigger hearts. Sure, it gets a bad rap for the wind, but the skyline views more than make up for it.

Often dubbed the “Second City,” Chicago is a bustling metropolis known for its stunning skyline, deep-dish pizza, and vibrant neighborhoods.

As one of the most populous cities in the USA, Chicago offers a rich cultural tapestry with neighborhoods like Pilsen, known for its Mexican-American heritage, and Greektown, where you can indulge in Mediterranean delights.

Don’t miss out on trying a thin slice at Connie’s Pizza before diving into the legendary deep dish at Giordano’s (get the Spinach deep-dish pizza, no meat). And yes, I know I mentioned no-meat, but this deep-dish pizza is as legendary as they say.

Fun fact: Chicago has the largest Polish population outside of Warsaw, making it the perfect place to try authentic Polish sausages at Maxwell’s on Maxwell Street in “Jew Town“, (pronounced: Junetown). It’s also my hometown and the headquarters for many Fortune 500 companies like Boeing, McDonald’s, and United Airlines and big events like Lollapalooza. From the iconic Navy Pier to the serene Millennium Park, Chicago is a city that never ceases to amaze.

Don’t forget, Chicago is home to the Willis (formerly Sears) Tower, once the tallest building in the world.
